Pros & Cons of solar power

Being English was pretty much a war crime
Was? Still is pal.

My gf at the time and her family had lived there for ~20 years, moving up from Darlington/Newcastle, raised their kids on the island(s), learned a bit of Gaelic, had businesses there, and were still treated with contempt. And then their daughter brought me, an actual foreigner, with them too. Public enemies, shocked no one had the pitchforks out.

On topic: said gf's dad had a neighbour who basically sued someone "next door" as he had put in a wind turbine that "makes a lot of noise". Said neighbour lived further away from it than her dad, and we never heard anything at all when there as the "next property" means it's like a mile away or something haha

Mad backwards place, loved it. Moths could probably decapitate me if they wanted to, too, they were so huge.

Idk if anyone has mentioned this but typically you'll need to install an inverter to convert the DC generated by the panels (and stored in your batteries) to AC that can be used by your household appliances.

So what?

Well, inverters tend to be huge generators of EMFs - think electrosmog - and for the increasing number of people that are sensitive to that, it can actually make you ill.

Idk if they have ratings on such things that you can compare before buying. I believe it can be moderated by shielding if it's well done.

Just something to bear in mind.

They miss a trick when they put them in a bit higher & they could grow all kinds of vegetables on that land underneath the glass solar panels ....

got a good hiding for getting a coastline length wrong.
