By 10 minutes per half? (otherwise why bother playing at all?)
He gets paid £2m a year to come up with suggestions like that...

So we are going to shorten the game, allow 5 substitutes, do away with VAR,
play at neutral venues and if you are to believe some reports do away with tackling.
So lets, completely change the rules, totaly alter the format of the game, take away home advantage and that's
'preserving the integrity of the league'?
I really do think it's time to give it up.
Exactly this. How they can quote 'integrity of the league' whilst changing the fundamentals of the game during a current campaign is beyond me.

Anything to make sure the RS get their hands on the title mate.

We have the likes of Palace's chairman calling for the season to be restarted.

The Government will push for it to be restarted and will bend backwards so they can have the premier league screened across the world.

They will spin it as a success and have it broadcasted on ITV or BBC.

isn’t the point of restarting footy so thr broadcasters are happy ? How does that satisfy them ?

Plenty of buildings sites with a good few hundred people on have carried on as normal.

It's wrong, they will claim people are working with social distancing but they are lying.

they definitely are but those same people are then told they can’t so socialise with those outside their household once they get home . It’s all part of the contradictions of the current situation .

I'm still getting over this, please don't bring it back up

It's a genius scheme. Women and children find 20/20 too complicated and long to follow. So reducing it by the not at all arbitrary amount of 3.2 overs a side, abandoning the way the game has been measured since Adam were a lad and all the teams people know makes it that much more accessible. Completely sane and in touch with reality.

Wibble,

Shorter halves, eh?

It is like they are all in competition with each other to see who can come up with the daftest idea.

OK....here is my suggestion.

Finish the season by playing 5 a side on an indoor arena.

That way there are less players on the pitch, there is none of that arl shenanigans wot goes with corners and free kicks and no problems with a backdrop of empty, cavernous stadia.

No-one is allowed to socialise outside out of their household.

I don't agree with the restart, i would finish the season now and award them the title to shut them up.

Gives us more time and preparation to start the next season on time and as safe as can be given the situation.

We are a laughing stock of a club.
Difficult to blame the club in all honesty. They need the money at the end of the day. There's also political aspects to these things; if you want to get your own motions passed in future (or invited to the big boy parties) you don't align yourself against the most powerful clubs on things which are effectively insignificant to you. Once this is on the table I don't have any issue with the club backing it, the problem is that it's being put forward at all. The league should be ended and voided, it's obviously far from ideal, but it's the only outcome with any semblance of integrity.

I know mate and it seems like a reasonable stance . The point I was making is the situation when lads are working on a site , on occasion by necessity cheek to Jowl then Facing the same restrictions as the rest of us once they return home , sometimes all in the same van, can probably feel a bit odd even if it’s the right decision .

it was really just an observation supporting your view that people are definitely working in non SD conditions that I dragged on .

We're talking about not playing 90 minute games now? Come on, someones got to realize this is all madness.
Really? I am going to have to do some catching up with this thread.

So relegation sides don't have all the time allocated to them? Maybe first one in and win?
