Project restart discussion.

I think a big consideration is that I struggle to see how transcontinental travel for sports will be allowed, will we see a champions league next season? Each domestic season may be under time pressures with starting late and having to finish for the euros so we may not see a champs league next season. 2020/21 domestic seasons will decide quals for the next round of euro comps that could be 2021/22
I've said this a few times, there will not be any euro football next season

No-one is allowed to socialise outside out of their household.

I don't agree with the restart, i would finish the season now and award them the title to shut them up.

Gives us more time and preparation to start the next season on time and as safe as can be given the situation.

The funny thing is mate a lot of them don't want that because it means they get the title without officially winning it and they know (even though they are pissing the league) it would be a hollow title.

Lets not forget that these greedy, grubby, money grabbing bar stewards always have a method in their madness...
How about 4 separate 15 minute periods?
...What a really cunning and sneaky way to increase advertising revenues eh?
You really wouidn't put anything past this shower who are supposed to be running the game...

I wonder what the vote would be if it was conducted as a secret ballot?

I do like the kerby solution. Buckeroo 2nd.

No chance, it's not possible although it will take a while to admit it.

On the off chance there is a domestic season coming up, least there will be less games to be played.

Difficult to blame the club in all honesty. They need the money at the end of the day. There's also political aspects to these things; if you want to get your own motions passed in future (or invited to the big boy parties) you don't align yourself against the most powerful clubs on things which are effectively insignificant to you. Once this is on the table I don't have any issue with the club backing it, the problem is that it's being put forward at all. The league should be ended and voided, it's obviously far from ideal, but it's the only outcome with any semblance of integrity.
I'm disappointed with the club to be honest. I expect better from them.

You can't throw out the games to play and go off what's happened to decide relegations/promotions - its apples and oranges, unfair on all teams who still have a chance of sorting themselves out, on the pitch. There's no compromise. Speak to Amiens fans for their views on PPG.

The premier League (fa are a joke) either decide to put this season on hold, to be resumed whenever it can be safely, as it was before, including fa cup etc, and thus screwing up several future seasons to boot, or they call it with no relegations or promotions, and we move onto trying to prep for next season ( I doubt there will be one as it stands, but hope I am wrong). No other options should be near the table, nevermind on it.

I know which one makes more sense to me personally.

The desperation to restart in any way shape or form, and some of the possible solutions suggested in reports by the premier league, are crass, ludicrous and beggar belief, especially as this virus continues to take lives and have such a massive, damaging effect on our normal daily life.

I agree kicking a ball in the current climate shouldn't be done.

However, PPG I still think is the only way to go if there has to be a way to resolve this season across all leagues in order to keep some structure in place like the French league. It also gives the people in charge plenty of time to figure out how things work going forward.

Have to look across the whole divisions and not just the premiership for me.

The league will do untold and irrepreable damage to its reputation if they force games to continue and a tragedy occurs as a result. The Government should be the leaders on this but in their defence, they have much bigger things to worry about than some football matches.

This whole episode has been an enormous reality check for the football industry. They've had to wake up and realise that they're not half as important as they think they are. Nobody comes of this well, not the clubs, the authorities or the players - they are all consumed by greed. Fans are not clamouring for the games' return, but the media and broadcasters are telling us everyday how important restarting is even though none of us are calling for it.

Even football's most ardent followers are now realising just how disgusting the sport has got. Putting so many people at risk just so a pale imitation of the game can exist for 8-10 weeks...it doesn't sit right at all.

I hope all those RS parrots who came out early on and said the league had to be completed for the sake of the competition's integrity have disappeared back to their caves now that we have an idea about what 'Project Restart' could look like - some of the ideas that are being seriously considered don't even sound like they come from the same sport.

What an absolute shambles.
