why would they need to if they were tested pre game?

Besides the fact that you would have to divert essential testing staff and resources away from people dying/NHS staff and frontline workers needing testing so 22 plus subs millionaire footballers can be checked, the current turnaround it up to 4 days before the results are back, so how will that work before the game so they can actually tackle/man mark etc?!?!

The 2019-20 Football season should be cancelled purely out of respect for all those poor souls who have perished in this awful tragedy.

I guess most clubs will have fans who have lost their lives.

Anyone pushing for a season restart needs to give their head a wobble!

Aye, but they would need permission to train in their individual countries, before evening considering the travelling aspects, so it'd be a non-starter.

UEFA aren't going to ask clubs to train when their own domestic governments say it isn't allowed, hence it'll have to come after.

who is diverting essential testing away from anyone? We keep getting told, and has been shown in other countries that the testing capacity isn't being used.

No one is giving the Bundesliga grief for attempting to restart.

But judging by France today, i'd guess that will start the domino effect and all seasons will go. certainly the CL will have to be ended.
