Apparently the French league have a rule whereby if a season is not completed the current standings remain. Not sure his true that is but it’s the only league who have this written into the rules apparently.

Fair enough if they are the rules, everyone signed up and nobody can complain. Its unfair yes, but I cant see teams winning any lawsuits.

If they are the rules though, why are positions left undecided?

The damage caused by just one fatality connected to football will be worse. Football pales into insignificance when up against human life.
There is a point where some things are going to start getting back to normal. I'm not suggesting doing anything before it is safe, but as we do return to things we will not be ready for 40000+ people to be in the same place. We could however get the 100 or so it takes to play the game and broadcast it to do so.

And when it is safe to do that it needs to happen. I know everyone wants to think it is pure greed, but there is a level of income clubs need to survive and we won't have that if we aren't playing at all until fans can come back.

It would take unprecedented steps to even get 1 game to go ahead behind closed doors anytime soon. You’re talking placing the whole squad in isolation somewhere for a period of time, everyone else involved would have to be in the same place ... all the staff who work in any hotel used would have to be quarantined.... it’s a massive ask

That's his card marked then.
The owner of Brighton: Tony Bloom is a professional gambler.
Wonder why he has been pushing so hard to get the league finished?
Bloom hasn't said that much.
It was chief exec who spoke to press.
Very tactical from Brighton.
