How is it “trying to be cool” to say that we’re not missing football? You can still care about the club you’ve supported your whole life without being buzzing for Sassuolo v Atalanta at an empty San Siro.

Yeah of course, but Dortmund v Bayern would have been one of interest even if we had been playing as normal. Especially with it being so tight. I wouldn't watch Paderborn v frieburg like.

The only people interested in these games are those who dont really go to games. If you have been bought up with a culture of the TV or possibly the pub is the place to watch the match, Dortmund v Bayern is appealing, match going fans wont be arsed though.

I haven't missed a home game in around 15 years mate. I go the match, but I also like to watch games on tv. Ideally a Premier league game but bundesliga is the best of an otherwise non existent bunch isn't it.

The point of the death rate was to flatten the death rate to an acceptable level. The ONS data today show over 4000 deaths last week, at an average over the week of over 600 per day.

Germany never went about a rolling average of 200 per day even in their peak. France didn't get to 600 deaths per day at their peak and their government rightly stepped in and said sport is unsafe in this context, and the season needs to be ended.

These cannot be squared with an approach that football is safe to return. If you look at the international evidence it's not. The only people who think it is, are the Prime Minister and his advisor(s). After (specifically) the last few days, if you think those 2 have any idea of safety over and above the overwhelming evidence to the contrary, then you're not saveable I'm afraid.

We are living through an absolute catastrophe and putting a defence of it is unwarranted,

Catcher; I've enjoyed are debates and you are absolutely correct on the above, this is an absolute disaster and the majority of level heade people agree it is probably not the time for football to recommence; that said, we are lead by a Government hellbent on a "nothing to see here" policy & I have zero doubt the alliance of UKGOV and the financial greed of the PL, will see project restart kick-off asap, with a couple of concessions around start date, ironically stating "player safety" as the reason. Hamstring risky, death go ahead.

Have very little doubt the show will go on mind
