Imagine players celebrating in front of empty stands though, it'll look 'kin ridiculous. Then imagine not celebrating, that'll look 'kin ridiculous. Then, it'll start to dawn on some of these dunderheads that the whole looks 'kin ridiculous... and dangerous.
They won’t be able to go and have a big hug to celebrate will they? Just all trot back to the half way line 2 meters apart.
Exactly, but even if you just slot and leg off by yourself doin' a Shearer you're just gonna look a knob. No crowd, no celebrations, no heart, can see people tuning out real fast.
Just regarding behind closed doors games; I know they always sound strange one TV and must sound strange to the players too so maybe they could like put out crowd noises on the tannoys during matches?

Isn't that what the Japanese had in the game last Friday? Or Saturday? Crowd noises? I didn't watch it but saw people commenting about it.
Depends how they do it, might be quite good if they use an S Club 7 crowd, or Wu Tang Clan or summat.
I just don’t think behind closed doors football works, at all. Not competitive anyway.

Given a choice I go for slimmer necks but I have a Tele with a real chinky neck and after a couple off minutes playing, it feels great and natural
