Honorary Visiting Professor at Liverpool John Moore's University. Published research on the role of the secondary head teacher in 2009, probably following from her PhD thesis. May have a background as a teacher or headteacher, but not certain.

Come on J. Don't do this.
Look, I'm sure she's great but is she going to have the sort of connections we want from someone in the top job. I can't imagine she's going to be pulling in any big name sponsors off of the back of her work with EITC.

Her work there has been fantastic but it's a big jump to running a football club of this size and is the exact same stick we used to beat Suntan Bob.

And before anyone goes, it has nothing to do with being female but more to do with the fact that this appointment smacks of the board looking out for mates rather than doing what is actually the best thing for the club imo.

like 99.99999999999%of people on here , im just an average joe who has never got a phd or been a chief executive . so i couldn't and shouldn't comment on how good or bad an appointment this is. im underqualified to do so , so wont.

but every time ive seen or heard about this lady its been good things and things the club should be proud of.

also on suntan bob , well we haven't got messi , golden seats with free hand jobs and cristal champagne fountains , damn him for that !!!
but if we look at the state of finances when he came in and the stability we have now, then its a job done ok
we aint bankrupt and still in existence , thankful for that too.

I think you will be pleasantly surprised.

Hope she does well, I imagine massive high level changes were never something that was realistic and promoting those who are around the club into better suited roles is likely to keep some stability while a new manager comes in. She's done great things with EiTC and hopefully she can show that kind of leadership and management as Chief Executive too.

Yeah, I'm a bit less impressed now. It doesn't look like a full tenured professorship from a great university. Still, she's clearly not an idiot. Will be interesting to see how she gets on.

I hope so. She's got my backing and I hope she's an amazing success who shows that she wasn't just a promotion for one of Bill's luvvys like Suntan Bob was because I can't help feeling like that what this is right now.
