Where should our priorities be?

I'd like a winger to replace McGeady (poor signing) a winger to replace Mirallas if he is leaving, a good pacey holding midfielder to replace Barry (should never of been given a 3 year deal, 1 year rolling like the top clubs do with the 30+ players FFS Even Terry only got a 1 year deal) a good solid centre back to replace Alcaraz (poor signing) a 2nd striker to replace Kone ( a poor signing) and someone to challenge Barkley as the central part of the 3 behind Lukaku as it looks to me as though Ross 'ain't all that' or he has been badly managed. Probably the later as that would fit. Listening to various podcast over the last couple of days it's a aparant that their isn't much to spend, which is disappointing as with the current TV deal (not the new one which kicks in next year) should allow us a kitty of 30 million on top of our current running costs but obviously not which would suggest that it was the sale of Anichebe Felliani and Jelavic which purchased Lukaku which is scandalous when you look at the spends of clubs of a lesser rank than us, who did not have any big names to sell so Feck you Kenwright feck you Elstone feck you Woods feck you Earle and a massive pess off to Martinez (although the financial mess ain't his fault)

With our goalkeeper being rated the worst in the Premier League this season, you'd think that'd be a priority for club and fans.

I look at it a little bit differently, we have a core group for the long term of (if Garbutt goes):

RB - Coleman
CB - Stones
CB - Galloway
DM - Besic
CM -McCarthy
CM - Barkley
CF- Lukaku

To add to this group we need:

GK -- Priority
LB - Have a couple of seasons
CB - Need a stopgap for a season
LW - Priority
RW - Priority
AM - Priority

So, GK/LW/RW/AM we need to add at least 2 players in the same mould as the core for the future of the club. The rest we can bring in short term stopgaps and bring in more next summer when other players retire.

No need for goalie Robles should be given a chance ... Need centre back as back up , striker as kone no use ... Playmaker to make it all happen , drop Ross back alongside McCarthy , winger as mcgeady no use and mirallas will go once a decent offer comes in ... 10-12 million for him plus 4-5 for garbutt and the reported 20 million and all could be ok if money is spent well ... Your move Roberto !

All flows from the spine. We've got two very good centrebacks and a very good striker (for those who bang on about his touch, 20 goals with this shower behind him!). That's it though. Awful goalkeeper and average centre mids: one too old, one is only good defensively and one is played out of position.

If we brought in a top Keeper and a creative deep lying playmaker all these questions around wingers, backup centrebacks and backup strikers would be less of an issue. With a rubbish spine the rest of your team has to be absolutely top quality and ours isn't.

Our Midfield is terrible, Barry needs to go, Besic and McCarthy are ok, but we need someone capable of both tackling and passing, a winger on the left and a centre back.

Even if people are satisfied that Howard and Joel are good enough, which most won't be, the club still needs a third senior keeper. If the two we have get injured, then there is nobody else as the likes of Griffiths won't get thrown in for a debut and there will be another Baardsen/Westerveld situation.
