The REAL question is how many governments were funding Epstein for blackmail/intelligence purposes. Mine? Yours?I watched Newsnight's piece on this last night. It was shocking. Two BBC reporters David Grossman and Emily Maitlis basically questioning why Maxwell had been denied bail and faced time in 'solitary confinement'. Utterly dreadful siding with the alleged paedophile sex trafficker over her victims.
The BBC are still right up to their necks in this business as far as I'm concerned.

A) Where are the newspaper stories tracking the financial records from the Villard House offices on Madison Avenue of Jeffrey Epstein's hedge fund and financial management firm J. Epstein & Co.? Who holds these records? What trades do they show? Who were the prime brokers? Where are any former employees who executed trades? Was there never a hedge fund at all? If not, is the inexplicable Epstein fortune and the missing Robert Maxwell fortune actually one and the same fortune?
B) Where are the newspaper stories asking whether Jeffrey Epstein was known to be connected to any US or foreign intelligence agencies? Where are the on-the-record stories asking if the US and its allies categorically deny refusing to work with any known child sex traffickers? Why has have such questions not terminated in at least a categorical denial or "no comment" response or even a refusal to discuss "sources and methods"?
C) Why is there no routine call from Journalists, Senators, Congressmen and women, Academics, Clergy or Business leaders for hearings into the intelligence communities in the wake of Epstein and related affairs, as there was during the 1970s when the Church and Pike committees uncovered dirty tricks campaigns against lawful citizens? Why are these agencies now protected and immune in a way that they were not previously?

Bet the BBC were peed off not being able to show Andrew's daughter's marriage.... lolBig part of the BBC audience is all that Royal pomp and circumstance.
I dont doubt all that. It's why these high profile cases usually fizzle out. Saville over here had myriad connections to the British elite.
They were involved with a children's home in Wales. Newsnight's editor, Merrion Jones, filed a report on a group of 'minor royals' who were regular visitors to the place. Strangely, though broadcast on Newsnight, the story is nowhere to be seen since. You can go down a real rabbit hole with conspiracy theories. However I'd suggest Epstein was helping (at least) one of the intelligence authorities entrap and ultimately blackmail powerful people.
The other point I'd add, is it's hard to think our Royal family were not in on it. Andrew doesn't just casually get involved in stuff like that. They are likely the glue, that holds it all together.

Not the judge, 'just' her son killed and husband seriously injured by the gunman. Absolutely terrible. Can't read the FT page as I'm not a subscriber, but the BBC article specifically doesn't make any link - make of that what you will.![]()

I love it on the BBC news, whenever they roll out their royal correspondents and the tone of their voices are as if HRH herself is present. Proper Queen's English. Then when the next report is about beauty treatments is back to Estuary English.Big part of the BBC audience is all that Royal pomp and circumstance.
