Some of the P/C

Silva starts with a question on the reaction in training to Fulham defeat...
“To be honest like always they have worked like they normally do.
“It’s not different because we didn’t achieve the resutl we wanted - the way we have worked during the week is the normal way we have worked since the first day of the season.
“Of course we have to react to what we did in the last game.
“To be honest it wasn’t good enough for us or what we wanted
“We didn’t expect it. But we know how tough the Premier League is.
“Even if you are thinking it will be easy because they are already relegated, we didn’t prepare for the game in this way.
“They did better than us. They were stronger than us that afternoon.

On Gomes' ban and future
“Andre is an honest and fair football player. He enjoys what he is doing here.
“In that moment he didn’t show that.
“But it was a moment in one match.
“It can be tough to play against a tough player like Mitrovic.
“But we have to keep our emotional balance at all times.
“I already spoke with him. It’s a moment for him to learn.”

Will he play at Goodison next season?
“Good question...but I don’t have the answer to you n
“Of course we will miss him. He’s a very good player and is helping us.”
But the boss says it’s a good opportunity for others to show their quality.

Mina is still out for this weekend's game
“Possibly next week he will start full training with us.”

Silva on United
“If we are on our best level, it will be tough for them.
“If we can reach the same level we have played in the last three home games, it will be really tough for them.”

Silva on how United have changed since they last played
“I understand what you are trying to reach with this question!
“Different coaches...different formations...they are changing many times their formation.
“When we played against them at Old Trafford, in that moment we were in a very good moment.
“It’s a different moment of the season but I’m 100% sure it will be tough for us and them.
“They can play with 6/7 different players in the attack line, all with high quality.
“Strong midfielders also. It’s up to us to do our best and try to win the game.”

Marco Silva on the u23's Premier League 2 title win
“Really important for us. Congratulations to Dave and all the players.
“They showed the quality, and they keep doing the right things.
“It’s really important. Nothing more prepares our young players than fighting to win trophies.
“It’s a good way to keep improving and to prepare them for the future.
“It’s really tough to achieve their desire of playing in our first team.”

Some of the SILVA P/C FOR PALACE GAME

Best Performance of the Season

“I don’t know if it was the best or not.
“We really performed well. We were clinical and assertive in the last third in important moments.
“We also did a really good game against Arsenal. If we were clinical the result is similar. We had more chances to score in that game than the last game!
“We are happy Sunday was a good match for ourselves and our fans. The atmosphere was very good again.”

Not Enough Credit

“It is up to you!” Marco smiles. “It is up to you to give the right credit.
“I cannot change nothing. It is not my job.
“We need to achieve good results. Maybe it is because of the fault of others?
“I analyse the game and do my job. When things go wrong I’m the first to take responsibility but the most important thing for me is after a match when we perform well and our players and fans are happy.”

Players Understand Silva's Methods

“When you start building something you are starting new things, new process, new players and a new manager.
“Sometimes we have a break during the season or some bad moments also.
“In one moment of the season we didn’t react well and we lost confidence as a team.
“But the season is whole, it’s big, it’s long. We have to show each time what we have to do.
“We stick together, we believe what is our way. We are happy in that moment with our results but we stick together to achieve what we want.”

Consistency Needed

“It’s our goal as a team. For me, when we lose one game away or at home it can happen.
“It’s not a moment to talk about inconsistency because we lost that game against Fulham.
“All of you expected us after three wins in a row to go there and win easy.
“They were better than us and we didn’t perform how I wanted but it’s not a matter of inconsistency.
“Our form in the last six games is good. Of course we have to prove again our quality.”

Europa League Contention

“We have to keep fighting. We are not in seventh.
“It is not the most important thing in this moment. We have to keep fighting and proving our quality.
“We have to win the matches also. At the end we will talk about the season and my feeling and our target.
“Our goal from the first day of the season, don’t change nothing. Our goal is there, it’s open, to fight and stick together.
“It’s tight, the competition. Some clubs are doing a really good season also. At the end we will see our position in the table.”

Squad Planning

“You are preparing everything. That is normal.
“We don’t look for nothing more than Palace and Burnley even if I have my normal meetings with our structure.
“There’s full focus on Palace. I’m looking for nothing more.”

Richarlison Major Doubt for Palace

“Lucas Digne is okay. Richarlison we have big doubts if he is able to play.
“Yesterday he tried to work with us. He felt different. Let’s see how he will react tomorrow.
“He will be a major doubt for us.
“Mina starts [training] with the team also.”

Plans for Next Season

“In the right moment we’ll talk about the next season. It is not the moment now.
“We will put full focus on the Palace match.”

Walcott Poorly

Theo Walcott is sick and could be a doubt for Crystal Palace.
Everton will monitor his condition tomorrow.

Few little bits of the BURNLEY P/C

MS: "We have to keep playing in the way we've played in the last few months, keep doing the right things to see good results. At the end we will see our position.

MS: "It's a very good feeling for us to play at home, and with our fans. We have changed our last few homes results, when you are fighting together we are really strong."

MS on Tom Davies: "It's really important for everyone to understand he is only 20 years old. He's not often been in the starting XI, but it doesn't mean we're not happy with him. He's working every day to help the team and he's a very good football player."
He started some games as a captain which was a fantastic feeling for him. I took that decision with Tom first because of his number of years with our club, and even though he is young he is a professional."

MS on Burnley: "We achieved an important win on that day, but football is always different. They're a tough team to play against, and they deserve to remain in the Premier League.

Silva confirms both Mina and Walcott are working with the team and could play tomorrow

MS: "It's not a moment for us to talk about if Everton qualify for Europe or not, it's not something that's just in our hands. For us as a club, it must be our aim always to play in European competition"
