On what planet would losing a quality CB with little time to replace him be a good thing...

10 million for a centre back worth around 5 would be great business heits had one good season in last year but before that was average and always talking of a move away seen him exposed at euros with holland he was total crap!

English Premier League outfit Everton has signed a two-year deal which sees Dafabet become the club’s international betting and gaming partner.

Dafabet is a leading Asian online gaming website which offers players a premium sportsbook service covering over 5,000 live events from around the world on a weekly basis. The partnership will grant Everton’s overseas fans a range of promotional offers and competitions – with the chance to attend Premier League games at Goodison Park.

The deal follows last week’s announcement that Paddy Power has become the club’s official online betting partner across the UK, Ireland and Italy. Dave Biggar, Everton’s commercial director, said: “Dafabet are new to the Premier League for the 2012-13 season and we are delighted to work alongside them to offer our overseas supporters a premium betting service.â€￾

Dimitris Karatzas, online gaming director at Dafabet, added: “After searching for the right partners to bring our brand to the Barclays Premier League and the millions of football fans around the world that the league attracts, we are delighted to announce our new association with Everton Football Club. We are aware of the club’s tradition in top-flight football and hope to help extend the fan base across Asia. We are sure this is the start of a long-term and mutually beneficial partnership.â€￾
