Again it appears to me he is blaming the players and not looking at his own tactics and strategy.

Not really.

He's saying he can do so much and that the players can know the gameplan but then if they don't execute it then of course the pressure is on.

Was it his tactics that lost the game on Saturday? As bad as we were, it was a stupid tackle from Baines, a ridiculous foul from Keane (and subsequent terrible man marking) and a crap pass from Coleman that led to their goals.

Silva's crap at the moment. He's probably crap altogether, as is Brands, the players, the lot of them, tbh. It's a shared responsibility.

Exactly, and I'm sick of ALL the blame on the manager from a lot of fans.

I ain't saying Silva's good enough. At the moment he's proving to be a pretty one-dimensional manager, and it's crap.

But I'm fed up of these players making the same mistakes and getting away with it. I'm glad Silva's dug them out, while at least accepting it's his responsibility as well.

100% Toff, regardless of Silva ( who I honestly now believe has 4 games max to save his job ) he's got every right to call out these players. These are seasoned pros. Coleman switched off, Keane constantly not showing enough aggression, Poor decision making by Baines ( who it was blatantly obvious was injured and should never have started and as a seasoned pro he should know better ), Walcott, Gylfi, all seasoned pros putting in limp performances and this is now under a fair few managers.

If it was an inexperienced kid like Feeney at the back or even Kenny to a lesser extent than you say "fair enough" but it's not it's so called seasoned pros.

It's why I have no qualms about dropping the lot of them and give some of the u23's a chance. Give Feeney a game, bring in Gibson, get Hornby or Sambou on the bench, bring Broadhead in, drop Schneiderlin from the bench and bring in Charsley.

You know if he doesn't Toff, he deserves to be sacked because playing the same players who are either incapable or unwilling to put a shift in or are so lazy that they can't mentally concentrate on the basics for 90 minutes well I can tell you there's a fair few u23 players who might be limited ability wise but I'd back them to be able to put a disciplined performance and not capitulate like this lot do.

We are talking now nearly 4 years of constant below par performances ( bar an upturn for one season in Koemans first season and even then we had a horrendous run ).

It isn't acceptable, it shouldn't be accepted so if he's gonna get sacked cos he's out of his depth I hope he takes about 7 of the lazy beauts down with him.

ASk yourself and if you get a chance ask Silva how come we are suckers for dead ball kicks and why has nothing been done to D/W that. Latest thing now is Silva saying the players lack motivation, the question should be - why?

Said elsewhere pehaps all not well in the dressing room.

Paul Joyce in the Times today sticking the boot in ...

"Everton are buying on reputation .." and cites Sigurdsson and Mina (IIRC) as two prime examples.
Also thinks Silva is on a knife edge as he is not inspiring the players & they are not responding in any case.

Not wrong

Yeah agreed. You’d think they’d taught us a footballing lesson rather than being gifted a couple of goals and being able to hold a toothless attack at bay. There was little between the teams in general play, but they took their chances and we didn’t.

They’re a decent side, as anyone with more than a passing interest in football knew they would be when they came up. It makes me laugh that some of their fans now think they’ve progressed past us though, as if they’re not the millionth club to come up with big plans that don’t always work out.
There is only 5 points between the clubs, they are having the best season they ever had and are being praised by everyone and we are being criticized left right and center for how rubbish we are playing, and its only 5 points in the difference, imagine we employed Man marking rather than zonal at set pieces we'd be ahead of them by about as much as they are ahead of us now.

Lots of damning articles at once is usually a bad sign for the manager but I mean, what else could they write about us at the minute?

Also been reported in the radio today that Moshiri has flown into today for a meeting with Silva.

Couple that with the release of all the damning articles and it doesn`t look good for Silva.

I’d be amazed if moshiri didn’t include a performance clause in his contract so if he doesn’t hit targets we can get rid with a reduced hit on compensation.

If the players were fighting but on the wrong end of the results like we were early on in the season then I’d be alright with it.

But everyone just seems to be coasting. Stinks of koeman. I’m almost wanting moyes back just so we don’t spaff a load of money up the wall

We are good fodder for the press in the last few years, always teetering on the brink of a crisis.

I wouldn't read too much into it, pardon the pun.

It seems they mirror the fans, win three on the bounce and it's Everton are back, lose three and it's disaster looms.

We are consistently inconsistent, they love that. Almost a poor man's Arsenal at present that we can tut-tut at mercilessly.

There’s too much at the moment. It pressurises the manager and the players and makes the hierarchy twitchy. To be constantly shown up as being clueless doesn’t help us.

I would put Moyes in until the end of the season, ala Man U and Solskjaer. At least with Moyes you know you will get 110% effort.

Their ambition is to be upper mid-table and they are succeeding. Our ambition is to go from uper mid table to Top6 and we are not succeeding. Huge gulf in expectations!
