Premeditated ?

If it was indeed premeditated so he can get Christmas off there is an easy solution to that - keep him at Goodison/FF with the other players to train and then support at the games. That way there is no incentive to try get a ban.
I personally believe he just got pissed off (like zidane did) and reacted - it happens

Fellaini was wrong to do what he did,he should be used to that kind of that kind of treatment and has to deal with it.He certainly will miss at least three very important games.

That said,I think the referee was very poor in dealing with was constant fouling by the Stoke defence. If that sort of treatment
happened outside of the football field a deal deal of it could be classified as assault.

Unfortunately, that will not be looked at,it will focus on the headbutt.

I agree but by being honest we have invited a media circus to ask for more than the 3 game ban -TBH if the ref had seen it red card 3 game ban - I wish that had happened now, because of poor reffing again Shawcross answer to football at home is to grab players in the box wrestle - he was warned but no action taken Felli got a pen against him for far less v City - we could have had 9 pens for the holding pushing on set peices yesterday!
That is why Stokes home record is so good no pens are ever given they just get away with it v every team thats what should be looked at too!

So Fellaini becomes a moronic thug and lands a nice long ban over Xmas and New Year, which is handy for him. He also pisses off his manager at a time when he is being linked to a big move from Goodison.

Now I'd like to believe that he's not bright enough to work something like that out for himself but after witnessing his behaviour yesterday I can't believe it was nothing more than retaliation.

I'd like to see him fined the wages to match whatever ban is coming, made to train on his own every day over the holiday period and then sold on.

The club is bigger than a toe-rag like that.
So his acting like a thug was really a cunning plan to manouvre a move to a 'big' club?

Keep that tin foil hat handy mate.

It's more than that though isn't it? Having one pop at Shawcross is one thing but he stopped to look around and then butted him a second later. At least when Dunc used to have a pop at someone it'd be directly in the heat of the moment. We're probably going to miss him like hell and how Moyes handles this now is going to be a major test of his management skills.

Don't get me wrong i thought Stoke were horrible ****s all across the park yesterday but it was hardly a surprise that they were going to act like that. You could see it bubbling away with Felli so why one of the staff didnt try and get a message to him or one of the other players to calm him down also needs looking at

I'm pretty sure that Jags did have a word with Fellaini a couple of times when running back from corners.

There is no defence to what Fellaini did so not worth commenting on. I think Moyes was right to come out quickly to condemn it. That was the Everton way to handle the sorry incident. Wenger wouldn't have seen it and the sh*te across the park would have had t-shirts printed.

In a strange was I think this could actually work in our favour over the xmas period. We need to get the ball down and start playing footy again. With Fellaini out hopefully we will see more of Oviedo and Barkley (who looked very comfortable yesterday) alongside Pienaar, Baines, Gibbo & Ossie slotting clever balls into the channels for Jela to score.

when watching the game i didnt see much complaining from the players about this IMO this is what should have happened it brought to the refs attention everytime
another thing was SHAWCROSS was always in the refs ear when he was talking to a STOKE player i cant actually recall JAGS been in that situation once

Fellaini should take his punishment for the irrational head but - BUT what action was and will be taken against the Stoke player who literally put a safety belt on him every time he entered the Stoke box - and the ref who afforded him no protection throughout the game - only 1 yellow card was issued the whole game - for ...................... wait for it ................ time wasting - what a joke - and Felli got a penalty against us the other day for tugging in the box - hehehehehe
