I see the reason we have no pre season game at Goodison is because were having more redevelopment work done to the stadium, lounges.
Think we have spent more on the old lady over the last few seasons since Moshiri came then in all the bill years

Wigan away - we'll be allocated the entire East Stand (opposite their Main Stand), it's the one opposite where the main cameras focus towards for matches. They did this a good few years ago when we played there pre season. Must hold about 6K (?).

If anyone is staying Sunday after Bremen, the Bundesliga 2 fixtures are out if you want to go to another game ( subject to t.v. selection)

Would be an ideal weekend that. Sadly can't stay over. Have a very strict travelling schedule. Leave at 7am on Sunday, 5 hours to get back to Sittard, to get the coach to Alkmaar to see Fortuna open the Dutch season against AZ.
I hope the ice has melted on the seats at Alkmaar since we played there . Fair play mate, getting back for that.

How’s Fortuna going these days?

I used look them up years ago as I used to play for a club in country Australia called Fortuna which was setup by a bunch of Dutch immigrants around 1960. Most likely named after Fortuna Sittard. Used to wear red but swapped to orange in the 80s.

Named after Fortuna'54 more likely. Fortuna Sittard was only formed in 1968, from a merger between Fortuna'54 and Sittardia.

Last two decades have been a complete rollercoaster. Been in complete turmoil for 16 years of those 20. Seen it all, from merger plans with our arch rivals, to facing bankruptcy and winding up orders on multiple occasions. Once even having our pro license taken away by the Dutch FA, only to win it back after starting a legal procedure and because the FA made a couple of form errors.

Been taken over by a Turkish investor almost 3 years ago. Luckily a real passionate football fan and with the brains and knowhow how to run a football club. Made quite a remarkable rise up the table since. Got promoted to the Dutch eredivisie the season before last and stayed up quite comfortably in the end. New owner seems completely commited to make us a stabalized eredivisie team, and uptil now I haven't got a single reason to doubt him for that.
