Was there a bar on County Road called ‘The Albert’ or have I made this up? It would have been up on the right once you have reached The Oak when walking from the stadium.

My memory is failing me. I must seek it out and see if it’s the same place I’m thinking of.There's the albany - its not on county rd though, its mixed in amongst the back streets going towards kirkdale. The only Albert i know of anywhere near is the one opposite the kop.
I once paid a £1 to go upstairs which is a bit easier to get servedHow come?
I quite like the Winslow myself although the Bouncer charged me £1 in before the Dinamo Bucharest game in 2005 which I still think is odd![]()
Are you Scouse though or where we both taken by the hand?I once paid a £1 to go upstairs which is a bit easier to get served
That's what a packet of crisps and a can of (insert a fizzy drink of your choice) are for. I think over time they've realised pints are part of the pre-match routine. The bar on Goodison Road on the left, before you come to the club shop is a decent, albeit rammed, boozer. Can’t remember the name of it though.
I’m in Fan Zone these days mostly anyway, kids to be entertained and all that.
A home game for me is a family occasion for little Blues getting to see the Stadium and all the Toffee hype that it delivers. That's what a packet of crisps and a can of (insert a fizzy drink of your choice) are for. I think over time they've realised pints are part of the pre-match routine.
For me, it's either the Ship n' Mitre in town and then a dart in a taxi, the Social Club, The Royal Oak or occasionally the Harlech Castle.
The latter, while being an absolutely sparse dive, does a magnificent Guinness which I would recommend @Eggs trying if he's ever about before the game.
You've probly seen me in there... Wobbling aroundelm tree![]()

£1 to get in - £2 to get outImagine charging money to get into a pub before the game. That's what has happened to bar I went to. They can **** right off.
