Potential cancellation of games - Coronavirus

I've been going to the match now for 57 years now. I reckon I have endured most of the diseases known to man in that time from fellow spectators. This includes other grounds around the country especially on the Kop where I have survived the rivers of piss, so I'm taking a relaxed view on matters.
Unlike our loveable neighbours who by now must surely be wondering what is going to happen to this current season. They'll be cacking themselves and don't let them tell you anything different.

Lots of weird responses on this, see the same on social media.

“It’s only 90 people”. Sure, and if it stays at 90, that’s fine, but the measures they’re talking about are to stop it going into 10s of thousands as has happened in China.

“It’s a very small chance of dying”. Mortality is 3.4% according to the WHO. Sounds small, but once you apply to big numbers it’s still significant.

E.G. If the 40,000 people in Goodison all got it, that would be 1,360 people.

Can't remember the last time I went into a pub that had a "dodgy box" showing 3pm kick offs tbh.
Buy your own dodgy box
If you’ve a smart TV you do not need a dodgy box just the MAC address of the Tv and you can get IPTV for a fee of course
Not sure but I think Samsung and LG are the best for an app called IPTV Smarters

Hopefully all in the Park End

But the assumption is those 40,000 odd people will just stay at home isolated if they dont go the game which for me wont be the case.

People want to enjoy their weekends - if it isnt at the match it'll be doing something else be it at the pub or a weekend away or food/shopping.

Its impossible to stop something in the modern world from spreading other than mandatory curfews.

Its all imo massively OTT anyway and will be likely gone come the summer just like Swine Flu was the end of the world before it.
It did not die off on the heat in Iran

I could say something really bad about the derby next Monday but good taste stops me
