Potential cancellation of games - Coronavirus

But the assumption is those 40,000 odd people will just stay at home isolated if they dont go the game which for me wont be the case.

People want to enjoy their weekends - if it isnt at the match it'll be doing something else be it at the pub or a weekend away or food/shopping.

Its impossible to stop something in the modern world from spreading other than mandatory curfews.

Its all imo massively OTT anyway and will be likely gone come the summer just like Swine Flu was the end of the world before it.

But an infected person comes into contact with less people in a pub than a stadium.

It's about slowing the spread not halting it.

It depends - if your at the stadium you are only realistically going to likely infect those in very close quarters (and that'll be largely by touch or for example coughing all over them)

Whereas you go Ghetto Golf for example instead - how many people are going to touch the same golf club and ball you were using? Then you go the pubs afterwards stood in a big cue at the bar waiting to get served - then off to look at clothes touching all the clothes on the racks etc.

Its impossible to stop it imo.

I can see it happening, The cases in the UK are growing everyday so it makes sense really. At least the match thread will be fun when we're 2-0 down at half time and Bill who has been forced to sign up to GOT to express his dismay at DCL not scoring with every shot.

If you wash your hands then the superdry store should hold no fear.

Is it only 90 cases in the UK? naturally that figure will increase due to the incubation period of illness but realistically with a population of 60 odd million the chances of coming into contact with someone who has it is still very small thankfully.

But largely increased if 10’s of thousands of people gather together across the country every weekend.

90 confirmed cases. Who knows how many have it and either haven't been tested yet or are not exhibiting symptoms, yet.
