I don't mean to be argumentative but I don't think Jimmy Greaves is the best example of the 'Jammy B'stard' type. One of the most polished and skillful strikers this country has ever produced. Blue4eva77's Ole Gunnar Solksjaer shout is probably more in line with that type of striker.

However, as you say, nothing wrong with that.

If he's the Solksjaer type, I'll be buzzing. If he's the Greaves type, I'll be jizzing.

I Totally agree Blue4eva77's shout was a much better one!

Gonna to laugh. Paul Merson really is a stupid nob, just read his latest crap comment at Sky. Yeah sell Stones and we only have 2 senior CB left at this club? Gave Everton the lowest transfer grading in PL just because we don't sell Stones to Chelsea (how dare we said no to Chelski). God, Merson is a ret$¥€.

As much as I believe our transfer window was poor, it certainly wasn't anywhere near as bad as Arsenal's.

Hang on, let's check who Paul Merson played for.

There's Villa, Brentford, Middlesbrough, Portsmouth, Walsall, Tamworth, Whitton Athletic, Welshpool Town.

Oh, and Arsenal.

That's a pathetic arguement

"Oh I know here at Barca we've got a transfer ban but Messi is out best hope and if he wasn't here and we signed him on deadline day we'd be over the moon"

See how stupid it sounds?
It's pathetic thinking we can get anyone here much better than Barkley for £20 million (basically in transfer terms now is peanuts compared to the teams we are up against). We need a player 3/4 as good as Messi if we are going to move up to the next level, that would cost £30/£35 million and they probably wouldn't want to come here anyway. Most of these £20 million so called number 10s would be wasting good money. I'm sorry but your in dream land if you think we can buy much better than we actually have, also I'm totally against us spending high money on players with only a year left on contracts, develop what we have and surely but slowly we will get there. We are Everton and as frustrated as it gets sometimes I don't want us throwing money about on average players, but that's seems the way some fans want it.

Well great lad, you've got some lovely opinions there.

Not sure what they have to do with your previous one though.

Maybe I got a bit carried away, but I think all in all we are pretty lucky to have a squad like we have here and wouldn't it just be nice if now Barkley could step up to this so called number 10 roll nothing better to have a home grown player as your main man.

Oh that'd be nice mate but Martinez has said that we need a number 10 and that English players don't have the vision or ability to play the role that he wants.

People do realise it's only like 100 and something days to the next window yeah?

We'll be absolutely fine.
It's that number 10 though, isn't it?

The one player we were all-but promised we'd get. Feels weird that we didn't. I was convinced up until about 5pm yesterday. It's taking more getting used to than I was expecting.

I think you're right, though. I do think we'll be fine. I think we'll push on until Christmas, and hopefully we'll have something sorted for January.

Don't get me wrong, Yarmolenko would have been boss, really boss but it's like people have forgotten how well Barkley has started the season.

Although to be fair Arsenal categorically improved their starting eleven. Not sure we did.
