For example mate, we were willing to pay around the 15m quid mark for Yarmolenko, would you think the club would be smart in January offering him a 15m signing on fee to come to us? Honest answer yes or no?
I'm not sure but I would go to 5m.

It's all well and good saying he should have had a backup, but was there better players available, within our budget, who are better than we already have?

Wenger made a point earlier, saying Man Utd are actually paying up to £59 million, for that Martial lad. I believe him too, he's surely got contacts within Monaco/French football?

Martial has scored 15 goals in 72 appearances. I've seen nothing of him, and he might be great, but £35-59 million for a lad with that record in French football???? Wenger says that is the case because there's a lack of top level talent available.

Even Yarmolenko was apparently valued at £15 million, with 12 months left on his deal. If he had another 2-3 years left, then you could at least double that asking price.

Anyway, I might be wrong, but I have a sneaky feeling Lennon was the back up option. Yes, I no he's not the fabled No 10, but his arrival should see less possibility of Ross being shunted out to the wings, and it should also give Martinez the opportunity to use Mirallas in the number 10 role too. Like, I said, this might be wrong, but I wouldn't be surprised if that was the case.
Martinez loves bringing back players that have performed for him. Lennon was never just a backup option otherwise Martinez wouldn't have asked him to wait all window.

The question is was Yarmolenko really his No 1 target or where they pressurized into going for him due to the fan unrest.

I don't know the answer to that and I doubt we ever really will know but the timing suggests they were. I don't buy the whole cheque not clearing argument at all. They could have applied for that months in advance - they probably just applied for it because they decided to go for Yarmolenko late which might actually explain why it was done through a different company. Maybe Vibrac would have taken too long.

Lleandro looks like one of those Jammy B'stards who justs finds the net all the time. Nothing wrong with that! Jimmy Greaves?
I don't mean to be argumentative but I don't think Jimmy Greaves is the best example of the 'Jammy B'stard' type. One of the most polished and skillful strikers this country has ever produced. Blue4eva77's Ole Gunnar Solksjaer shout is probably more in line with that type of striker.

However, as you say, nothing wrong with that.

If he's the Solksjaer type, I'll be buzzing. If he's the Greaves type, I'll be jizzing.
