Was keeping Stones a good? Obviously. But our success as a club should not be based on whether we sold our players or not.

We HAD to bring in an playmaker that could provide the creativity/passing finesse that we so badly need. We did not do that.

We did bring in cover for other positions that we needed, so for that reason it's a 5.

Said this before but the absence of a negative (losing John Stones) is not a positive.

It's great that he's an Everton player this season but he already was. We had him, and now we still have him. There is no net improvement.

5. Stones saga was a good win but the manager failed to deliver on key promises and hasn't fixed problems he's had three months to fix.

4 as I said in the big thread all very nice giving players new contracts and not selling players, but with the new TV deal coming up we have no need to sell. Made up we've got Deulofeu, okay we got Cleverley but we knew that would happen. Have no opinion on Henen, Holgate or Rodriguez at all. Mori, well we shall wait and see.

Everyone, literally everyone including the manager himself identified that we needed at least 3 new quality players in 3 separate positions, not because we were low on squad numbers but because we need to up the quality of the match squad as a whole and get that imperative link between the midfield and the striker. We haven't done that and it's desperately needed. Hopefully Barkley can step up to the challenge.
