Possible Goodison redevelopment.

The current Everton Women's ground is around 2.2k (500 seated) so the Park End alone would double their capacity.
The most pragmatic thing to do would be to keep the Park End as is the newest stand and likely has the least maintenance costs.
I would imagine that the other 3 stands would be wholly or partly demolished as their up-keep costs would be significant relative to the revenue of the women's team. Although they might choose to keep the lower tiers and re-roof them. Capacity at a rough guess would be around 20-25k if they did that.

Ground is actually officially classed as under 2,000 (1999 ). As we need a safety certicate for anything over that amount. which we have not done. There is times were scanners dont work at the gate, so obviously crowds are biggeer than what is offically announed. which is a number pulled out of thin air a lot of times Arsenal who they play on a friday next week has seen the biggest crowd at WHP which was very slightly officially under 2k (But may have been more due to as said needing that safety certicate if over, or its a big fine)

I think womens attendances will only increase from now on, and if we knocked down the Main stand and improved the seating in the Bullens and Gwladys, we'd have a 22-25,000 seater stadium for them to gradually grow into.

I would feel sad at seeing Goodison as anything other that it's current scale. I would feel much better about the whole thing knowing that when it's gone, it's gone.

Maybe the women's team do need to expand, but I think they should be given their own space to do so. Be it WHP or an.other.

I think keeping the pitch with non league sized stands could work.
I saw Marines new stadium plans on line somewhere. Something like that (a little bigger) on the goodison footprint and keep the pitch exactly where it is would be my preference.

The only other option would be to keep at least one stand maybe the Bullens, and redevelop it like Arsenal did (In to flats). That would be my vision anyway. You can't keep much else as the stadium is old, and the footprint is too big.

Also has a park/plaza where the pitch used to be. It wouldn't be quite as impressive at Goodison, because to be honest the outside is kind of nondescript and doesn't have really have an easily identifiable facade the way Highbury did.

It's difficult to see the women's team improving their attendances by 1000% any time soon to be honest. Even when playing the derby at Goodison I don't think they get 10,000, a 25,000 capacity stadium would seem like an unnecessary extravagance.

The thing to remember with Arsenal is that it's prime location there. You can whack up some luxury flats and people will pay through the nose for it. With the greatest of respect to Walton, the same thing doesn't really apply.

Replace the main stand with a covered single tier area with areas for washing machines, clothes lines, ironing boards etc. The bullens could be a similar size with kiosks for nails, false eyelashes, butt jobs etc. The Gladys could house multi screens, showing episodes of corrie, eastenders and emerdale on a constant loop. This leaves the park end for those wishing to watch the togger.

That's a good point. Quick look seems to indicate even the tiniest flats within the actual footprint of the old stadium are currently selling for ~£500k on the low end.

That section of Highbury was a listed building, so it literally couldn't be demolished. They have refrained from giving Goodison losted status precisely so that it can be demolished when it is finished with.
