felt this could do with it's own thread.
There are rumors of keeping goodison for the womens team.
It's not likely the club would keep and maintain an old 40k stadium.
So how would it get redeveloped?
Remove the main stand altogether?
I presume the Park end gets kept because of it's age.
Take the top tiers off the gwladys and bullens?
level all 4 stands and build a compact 10k ground?

How woould you redevelop Goodison to cater for the womens team?

They'd probably need to knock down some stands and massively reduce the capacity, 39k seems excessive for womens football as it currently stands. I wasn't a massive fan of the legacy project tbh, it looked pretty tacky and the idea of our precious goodison becoming office flats is pretty sad.

My choice would be to downsize the stadium and use it for the womens instead of WHP and also the U21's instead of Southport or Finch Farm
That is the plan. But they (New owners) have not decided if they are going to do up WHP either yet. Talks have gone on for months, even before the new owners came in about Goodison (While there was a meeting few weeks ago), . Now we have Money, we can do whatever they want

Probably best to knock down the Main stand, Bullens and the Gwladys. Redevelope along Goodison Road with a much smaller single tier stand. Redevelope the other sides with flats.

I quite liked the proposals, as it was based around maintaining a presence and not abandoning our home. It wasn't just offices that was going there, but a leading Alzhiemers and dementia research and treatment facility. Something that really hammered home that we care about our people.

I just hope that if they decide to do something else to it, it is as beneficial to the area ad it's people as it is to us as a club. It deserves that.
