I can corroborate some of these rumours: I was injecting ket with Hibbo and Sheedy last Thursday and they said to me that the all the players make suggestions to Martinez and he only listens sometimes.

And Barkley: "Boss, I reckon I should pick up the ball in our own area and drive 100 yards forward beating six players, yeah?" and Martinez just says "Yes, you phenomenal diamond. But remember: I'd prefer you to take on 12 players, so round the keeper and then take on one of the ground staff behind the goal."

And Stones: "Boss, should I stride out of defence like an elegant unicorn much this afternoon?" to which Martinez responds "Yes, you fantastical Equus, then pass it to whatever player has three men on him so we can once again learn from our mistakes."

Sheeds was just burying a prostitute he'd kicked to death at the time, so was a little out of breath, but I see no reason for him to lie.

Past 2 seasons he has been way off his best and quite rightly lost his position to oviedo.

Total mess defensively on the left with his wandering.

Think he has spoken out as he knows he will be losing his place again and also has been dropped from the england squad.

Play better and keep your mouth shut...if he wasnt local and a long term player he would be getting loads of stick.

Does McCarthy or Barry even bother trying to cover the fullbacks these days, remember it a lot in season 1, can't remember seeing any of it lately though, honestly don't think either one is fit enough to be able to do it these days

Distin got dropped mainly for being crap. Slagging off the manager didn't really help him but still, his dressing room antics definitely weren't the main reason.

I didnt think he was that bad to be honest, and our record without him is probably worse than with ... which says a lot
however Martinez handled the situation badly, like he has with Pienarr .... seems he is poor at man management
which would cause unrest amongst the team quicker he is sacked the better

My one-word response to last Sunday's limp insipid capitulation was "Baines."
