Possible Derby Date set?

We can’t always set the fixtures so Liverpool will play Everton at Anfield in the first half of the season, it just so happens that the fixtures have been selected so that Liverpool play at Goodison first, we haven’t purposefully arranged this.

Thank you for taking the time to write to Everton Football Club.

Fixtures are drawn at random and we have absolutely no say in how the derby is drawn.

From the PL and Everton after i emailed them last year.

Sure, they could be lying, but why?

If its such common knowledge that we ask for it they would just say. But people have been saying that and it seems to be based on nothing but the run of home derbies being more than coincidence and 1 newspaper article, just a rumour that spread and became fact without any proof.

I don't think this is genuine, why would they play olympiakos at home on 3rd August at 12:45? Then have 2 away friendlies afterwards? And do you notice Everton is the last fixture on the screen, it doesn't add up and I doubt this is real. Somebody with web experience and HTML could easily mock this.

I'd say the Olympiakos match is real as it's still up on the site, along with the other two away fixtures...

Ask Stubbs though, i'm sure he could tell you.

This local derby is also unique in the fact that the fixtures are played in a certain order. Since 2003, an agreement has been in place to hold the first derby of every season at Goodison Park, and the second at Anfield. There are several benefits to this arrangement: not only does this prevent long waits between home derbies for either team, but ensures that the flow of television revenue is more even due to the fact that the second derby cannot always be televised on Sky. Reasons for this vary, from cup commitments or late-season fixture congestion.

according to wiki it's so we are guaranteed a sky game

Well that's that then...

"The fixtures are drawn at random, we have no say in where the first/second derby is played"....

....SORRY, but I don't buy it!

Ten is a nice round number Kenwright, grow some balls and face the fact we are now the better team on merseyside, put a sock in your ridiculous derby order fixing, man up and let half season ticket holders watch a goodison derby!

While you're at it, why don't you ask the PL/Sky/Allah/whoever to stop giving us chelsea on the last day!!!

All the pre-season games are legit. The Olympiakos game is Gerrard's testimonial. It's a 12:45pm kick off because ESPN are showing it live.

They already announced playing Valerenga here: http://www.liverpoolecho.co.uk/spor...iverpool-fc-play-valerenga-pre-season-4026816

and Celtic here: http://www.liverpoolecho.co.uk/spor...verpool-play-celtic-dublin-pre-season-4049768

The kick off times for both games are as they are because they'll both be shown live on tv.
