Presuming we are paying down our debt which is a big if for me....if im honest i think we are.
Of course your right mate, but its chicken and egg to make money you got to spend money and there in lies the prob, stadium, infrastructure, merchandising, sponsorship etc - we hit a glass ceiling 3 years ago and been there since. I think its all well and good saying commerical revenue etc, but in reality that comes out of fans pockets, lets be honest most would fume if their season ticket went up by 20 quid, while their were fuming threads aboout the price of the kit this year. With people stretched for cash, dwindleing attendences etc - all these commercial and revenue opurtunites pepole bang on about - dont actually have any real life relavence, or take account of market forces, in fact i know people whove given lectures on the clubs marketing and commercial untaken oppurtunites - who wont renew there season tickets.
In the scheme of things its small potateos, yet important i know, the big money in TV, turnover has increased by 300% as a result since this board has been in charge largely due to TV.
If you look at the kit deal that we have in place and then compare that to other clubs like Villa then we should be making £5-6 million extra a year. That's not small change that's the difference between making a loss and breaking even. I agree with you about the price of tickets I don't think that is something we should be looking to increase given the current economic climate with people struggling. I've just got no faith about the way the club is being run since Kenwright ****ed up the Kings Dock!
