...I have no idea, but we need to have a sprinkling of magic and fortitude that turns draws into wins.

We appear to have been the better team v Palace, but I would be concerned at the number of times ‘they got in’ and had one-on-ones with Pickford. It might be a coincidence, but from what I saw most of those incidents were behind our RB position.

The clean sheet at Palace is welcome, but the lack of pace and powers of recovery in our central defence will result in the opposition having clear chances in games.

Yes @Eggs a very good point, we certainly had more of the ball, but Palace had the more clear cut chances. Could be a real concern against more attack minded opposition in my opinion.

4-3-3 with gylfi almost playing a free role from the left. Don’t want him stuck out on the left wing but I think this is the most practical way of fitting in him. Picked him over bernard for his creativity and goals and I know he can play as a supporting striker from the left as he did for swansea.

4-4-2 with a narrow diamond. Similar sort of principal as above, getting iwobi, delph and gomes in the middle but allowing gylfi his number 10 role with kean and richy up top.

My current preference is to drop bernard given his struggles vs palace and I want to get gylfi and iwobi in the starting 11 so I feel these are 2 practical solutions to do that. Perhaps Gbamin coming in for one of the 3 in the middle once up to speed of if required.

3 out of 116 not picking Richarlison is interesting.
What’s more interesting is 2 not picking Pickford when there’s no other keeper on the whole list but there you go!

I’d play Delph and Gomes in the center I’d both fit, drop Siggy and DCL for Iwobi and Kean if there match sharp and the rest picks itself imo
There are a few japesters around alright - sometimes it would nearly make you believe that some people on this forum weren't Everton fans.

Davies had a decent cameo, Gbamin is out of pace, so I'd start Tom alongside Gomes.

If Kean is fit, I'd give him a start, but think Silva will bring him slowly.

Pickford

Coleman
Keane
Yerald
Digne

Davies
Sigurdsson

Iwobi
Richarlison
Bernard

Too soon for Gbamin. Iwobi is class and used to PL so no issues starting him. Richarlison goes CF as may be the long term plan. Kean on at 75 mins.

Pickford
Coleman - Keane - Mina - Digne
Gbamin
Richarlison - Gomes - Bernard
Sigurdsson - Kean

Diamond midfield when attacking, push Iceland quite high in order to support Kean, he drops when we're defending.
