Under the proposals what would be the approach to a thread on today's Times report on a misfired Trident missile. Would that be considered political as of itself despite the quite obvious point that any discussion would contain political opinion yet is a defence/military topic. Would I have to pay a fee to discuss that?
How about Plato? Ramses? Caesar?

Defining politics has always been central to the headache we have managing.

I think this sounds like a good idea.

Yes it does, imo, providing it can be moderated adequately. @Bruce Wayne mentioned a reluctance from those volunteering for the task to help moderate the rest of the forum. I don't think that's the case, maybe they thought it more likely to be accepted in a more limited and experimental role.
