He played less than ten games from start for Bayern last season but is obviously a class player when allowed to play and in form... Could be worth a bet, depending on our transfer kitty circus - what do you think?

Of course, priority is a ballwinner in the middle of the park.

If he is willing to come here, he would be a hit!!!!(y)

Have to agree, depending on our kitty he would be a good addition. As you said though, midfielders are the obvious priority.

Well I have thought that midfielders are our priority, so how come I keep reading that Moyes is looking for a striker?

I have to agree there Ghost and if the cash is as tight as is being suggested then its even more strange unless of course AJ is going and hes after a replacement with Vaughan's fitness record and doubts about whether Victor will make it(I have doubts)

I think Bastien Schweinsteiger or Torsten Frink is suit for our team, due to the first priority of any kind of midfielders. They are class, but the price might not so high and affordable, I think :dodgy:

I agree Frings would be class, problem with him though is he's at the club where he started his career at and he's said to be looking to end his career at that club. So a non starter I reckon.

Midfield's the key. If we improve our midfield and nothing else I'd still be happy. four midfielders in would do me. A jack of all trades, a winger, a centre midfielder and best of all a defensive midfielder.

I think AJ wants to stay so realistically we'll have 5 forwards. Yakubu, AJ, Vaughan, Anichebe and Cahill as a second striker. We play 4-5-1 so four players for one position is enough. Plus I'm really hoping Vaughany breakes through this year. The kids class and a full pre-season under his belt would be excellent for him.

As several ppl have said Podolski and Schweinsteiger both looked good tonight. Also thought several of the Turks were very good tonight, particularly Nemih, Sabri, Richards was pretty good, Aurelio and Topal also. Several of those players would fill important positions for us. Although after tonight im sure many clubs are thinking the same things!

Topal looked good. I've always been a fan of Kazim-Kazim. Simon Rolfes for Germany looked good when Frings was out and is someone we could afford.
