He once won Goal Of The Season on MOTD....signed for us a couple seasons later.

And he became one of those much maligned figures in Everton history.

The non scoring striker.

I think it was the start of the '78/79 season and we were unbeaten and top of the league after about 16 or 17 games from (my increasingly suspect) memory.

Mickey played up front a a twin striker with Big Bob in a 4-4-2 formation.

As I said, he never scored and the boys in the Gwladys decided he was gash.....ran about doing sod all in our eyes while Big Bob was scoring for fun.

Funny thing happened, though.

Mickey got injured and Bob's goals dried up......and we faded out the title picture after the new year :(

He moved on to QPR, I think, at the end of the season.
ended up at Porto did ok for them ,
Met the other Mick Walsh the center back we got from Bolton a few years back he was running a restaurant in Javea,(Spain) nice fella

Danny Cademateri

He used to live by my school when I was a kid and we'd pester him for relentlessly for autographs ha ha. This was when he first broke through with those 2 goals against the RS and everyone thought he'd be our Michael Owen... Then he shaved off his dreads and started beating up women in town.

Downhill from there really :(
