I'm sure there's a thread already like, but who are the fairly big names that we'ved turned down in the past? I remember there being some suprising ones?

Demba Ba was one. Daniel Pranjic last year as well.

Fer : I reckon the whole medical thing was a load of balls.

Sort of the same - we've let go some kids that came good;

Carragher
Calum McManaman (also missed out on Steve due to them lot offering better terms)
Dunne
Danny Fox
Barton

Heard Ian Snodin got offered better terms to go to the RS but chose us instead. Top bloke.

Not us, but the best one of all time was Sheffield United turning down Maradona. They even had him on trial.

I'm not so up on our behind the scenes work but letting go of Ruddy seems to be the only regrettable decision in recent memory. Certainly in the Moyes era we rarely revealed a target without signing them except for Fer and Fernandes when he screwed us at the eleventh hour!
