Players banging the Allardyce drum

This is the internet and football forum, not the real world, the context was very light hearted, so not remotely unsavoury, if it offends you then that's entirely your problem sweetheart

Not very bright to talk about hanging when we lost a former player to it. Less of the patronising comments to the hard working moderators as well.

Players will always try and be seen as supportive to their current manager. Why would they come out and attack him and create a bad image for themselves as a troublemaker. Managers will usually inquire about peoples character and one who could create disharmony they would likely give a miss.

No you clown we lost a former player to suicide which is a very real very serious issue, I made no reference at all to suicide, so basically you're doing the very modern practice of driving 50 miles out of your way to get offended, again that's something you have to deal with sweetheart. As for the mods I've nothing but respect for them and the difficult job they have entertaining sensitive souls such as yourself

Chuck, me owld cock sparra... no real need for the 'you clown' and condescending comments is there ?

And yes, I'm well aware this is the Internet and a footie forum, but we'd appreciate and prefer it if petty name calling were conducted elsewhere.

Again fair enough but you might tell the self appointed P.C police to pipe down with the faux offense, calling people out for some sort of silly street cred, Cheers

Thank you Andy, i feel the use of the word " sweetheart " is an attempt to sexualize and dominate me. I find it vey uncomfortable if I'm being honest and would prefer not to be called it.

More importantly, we are stuck with Sam until at least the summer unfortunately. Just a case of accepting and hopefully get to the magic 40 points.

@Charles Plastusz I think you'd do well to reflect and consider your stance;

And less significant, but I think it's worth highlighting - is considering your patronising attitude towards a volunteer who has picked up reports from fans who found your comments to be unsavoury. Belittling attitude of the report system isn't helpful either - with 1 million+ posts a year, we rely on it to help the moderators, please don't discourage it ;)

We know your comments are not malicious, if we thought otherwise you'd not be posting now, nor would we be engaging - all you've been asked (or rather, nudged) is to be a little more tactful/mindful of terminology around suicide on a forum that contains a mental health thread that is very much "the real world".

As moderators we're painfully aware how quick some are to be offended, but here we just need you to appreciate the wider context.

Point taken

Tom Davies the latest snide to bang the drum.

Are these players so far detached from the supporters that they can’t see we don’t want Fat Head here?
I think something is going on behind the scenes, where the board are drumming up support for alladyce through the players, so the place doesn’t get toxic.

If he stays next season I am done

Most seats for the remaining games are paid for due to season tickets
Only reason is for positive PR to mask over the true feelings of the fans

I said this the other day.

This is the only reason we have a full house every week.

A few years back we would be lucky drawing 20,000 to watch this crap.

Hitting them in the pocket is the only way to make them sit up and take notice.

Sadly even that option is denied us now because even if 15,000 season ticket holders boycotted a game or two they still have our money in the bank.

As much as I dislike Allardyce's style of management, I'm pointing the finger of blame in the direction of a certain Dutchman. He is the one responsible for building such a woefully poor squad.

Our players, by and large, are rubbish.

That's not their fault and I'll still get behind them, but the fact is that very few of our players would even get onto the bench at the RS.

True, yes. But out of all those crap players who do you think out of the Koeman x Walsh axis signed them?
Koeman being a former world class defence would have definitely been the person who greenlit the signings of Keane and Williams. Both highly rated in the league before we signed and Williams was heralded as a coup at the price we paid. He has since taken a rather aggressive downward spiral but that wasn’t to be known.
Bolasie, this has all the hallmarks of a Walsh signing. Basically, crap.
Pickford, Great signing, best keeper we could of bought. Great sell on potential, age, will improve etc. Probably a Walsh signing.
Rooney, Koeman met and wanted him. Been a success so far.
Gylfi, Koeman signing. Has failed to achieve some of his heights at Swansea but there is a player in there. We massively overpaid but nothing to do with Koeman.
Martina, dross but free. Koeman signing.
Klassen, Hasn’t been given a chance. I can’t see how he’s worse than what we currently play. Koeman signing
Ramirez, Hasn’t done it at all but hardly given a chance. Will sell for more than we bought as he was free. Not a bad signing. A Walsh signing.
Vlasic, bought on the back of us beating his team. Has ability but personally not a fan. Koeman signing who probably asked the board for him after playing them.

Can’t think of anymore although I bet I’ve missed a few. I believe the DoF is more to blame than Koeman himself.

He'll be gone in the summer, retired managers don't come back for 18 months. The extra year he and his agent managed to swindle onto his contract is for the payoff, he has absolutely no intention of another year in this hot seat. However he'll only get that if the club sack him which they won't if he does well, is it a little cynical of me to think that he isn't giving the job his all to ensure he gets that massive payoff?
