Bains will be a class act when he gets a good pre-season under his belt an then a run of games. HE will be our left back for the next 6-8 years with out doubt. Had so much bad luck with injurys an the need for big men in a team of midgets.

I hope your wrong, i didnt think we should sign him before he got his injuries and he isnt in Lescott's class. You think he will get ahead of Cole any time soon? If you do your very deluded

How Lescott is more valuble in term's of value compared to Arteta or Cahill is beyond me.

Cahill is a broken foot waiting to happen plus he's 27-28?

Arteta gets his share of injuries as well.


Lescott is young and English...a players value doesn't mean he's better.

I do think we have got a big decision to make in the summer and its not a knee jerk reaction but when you look at the midfielders we have- out of the 10 first team midfielders we have:

Gravesen is gone, Andy Van is gone, Fernandes is probably gone I personally think Cars is off Vidarsson hasnt quite got there yet so from 10 I think realistically we have 5. We need at least 5 midfielders in my opinion- all of which need to be up for the first team.

I personally think we need to make a decision of how we play- I owuld like two wingers signed move Arteta in field where he could be devastating.

I am praying Vaughan stays fit because Vaughan and Yak= A taste sensation.

Agree totally, i think our best strike parntership is as above, or cahill behind yak in a 4-5-1, if vaughn was to stay fit an entire season he would be tremendous for us, the guy has it all in my opinion i love watching him play.
for this reason i would love to see any offer for AJ of over 10mill to be grabed and the money spent on a good midfielder, arsharvin would be nice.(as he could be cover for striker as well.)
As far as values go, who cares what they would be worth on the market as we need to keep them.Other than AJ 10mill+, i'd be tempted to sell yobo for 8mill+,as, for mine, the are not first team starters when our top 11 are fit, yobo would need replacing for cover but for 10 mill, i think we could get a good (younger) replacement and have a bit to spare. Any offers for other players would be talk to the hand stuff.
