PLAYER SHORTAGE

Agree completely. The people saying we'll be ok with our players back all include VDM in the list. Last year, nobody gave a toss if he was fit or not. Sums up how weakend we are.
Yes and we all know how that lad just wants to play and play to earn his wages...:dodgy:

The Russian league can't be that [Poor language removed] if Zenit won the UEFA cup. I think it would be unfair to dismiss it out right as [Poor language removed] Zenit had an amazing side full of Russian internationals.

wtf has what any of you have said got to do with this thread, post it in the other threads, the question remains, is there a shortage of top notch players and thats why when we dont get who we are rumoured with there is no-one else of equal quality.
i.e. moutinho bid falters, linked to bullard, kenwright slated and moyes basically told to walk by sections of our fans.
i will not have this thread hijacked unless it is of a nature that refers to top quality meat and pastry produce or scenes of a gratuitous sexual nature.

At this point I can only suspect we ain't got the money.

Considering the level of our squad, I'd say there are quite a few (not to say a lot) players we could bring in.

I just looked at the olympics and the dutch have some interesting quality in. Players like Marcellis or Pieters would fit well. Drenthe on loan would be a great piece of business. Fellaini and Dembele sure would add depth and quality to the squad. Tiago would be an awsome signing. Petit just went to Koln on a free and we could use him for sure.

I'm sure all this players would be available at reasonable cost and would improve the standard of the squad.

i think i shall refer to you as D1ck. you say cash/ambition as if they are the same thing.
we have ambition, lots of it, unfortunately if you have no cash then it doesnt matter how much ambition you have.

I never said they were the same thing; in fact I quite clearly typed both words individually, separated them with a / in the hope that the good folk of this message board would be able to make an educated decision as to which factor the club is short of. I see you're having trouble with that, so I think I'll call you Brains.

There are many good players available. I don't subscribe to the idea that all available talent has been accounted for. M'Bia is clearly available, as is Moutinho. If we had the cash, then there's no reason why they haven't been signed already (unless we lack the ambition, which I doubt). If we already have tried to sign them and the money has not been made available, then we need to adjust our targets.

I never said that I want Moyes or Kenwright to quit. However, I do want them to do something to try to address the current precarious position in which we find ourselves.

never a true word said

I HAVE A FEELING THAT YOU MEAN THE TOTAL OPPOSITE TO WHAT YOU HAVE TYPED, MISSED AN R OFF TRUER.

I HAVE BEEN VOCIFEROUS IN MY CONDEMNATION OF THIS GUY, IN FACT I LAUNCHED A VERBAL ATTACK ONTO HIM FROM THE MAINSTAND IN BERGEN WHICH HAD THE OTHER SUBS LOOKING OVER THERE SHOULDERS AND WHISPERING TO EACH OTHER, FELLOW BLUES AROUND ME STOOD AND CHEERED ME.

CAN YOU HONESTLY SAY THAT YOU HAVE HEARD OF THE TEAMS I MENTIONED ? I DOUBT IT, YES ZENIT WERE GOOD, FACT ABOUT THE TOURNAMENT WITH WAGNER LOVE PLAYING FOR BRAZIL WAS HE WAS MISSING CHANCES THAT WERE EASIER TO SCORE.
