Player of the 2010's

To be on the list, they had to have played 3 full seasons from 1st Jan 2010 so players like Cahill and Arteta miss out as they don't meet that criteria. Most of the candidates are in for their longevity at the club during this decade.

Certain players have been synonymous with the club in certain decades like Joe Royle in the 60's and Duncan Ferguson in the 90's. Who would you say has been our most significant player of this era if you had to select just one?

Was only counting the 2010 part onwards. I did consider him, and one or two others. Think they'd be more appropriate on a 2010's most unpopular player featuring Neville, Osman, Hibbert and Barkley .

..given how much he cost and his wider influence on the club, i’ve gone for Coleman. Pienaar was a great talent but left for Spurs so i’d put Baines ahead of him.

Horrible decade. No trophies, minimal Europe, flirts with relegation, not even a derby win. Don’t even want to pick one.

Looks like some people have short memories. For a few years there Baines was the absolute best around, certainly the best in the PL, possibly even in Europe. In my time watching Everton there's only Kanchelskis who would ever have been considered top class in the same way Baines was. Staggering that he's so far behind in the vote, probably because he's not been the same player recently.
