3 years left on his contract, essential to us despite being a Tottenham player, 30 yrs. old and not playing for spurs regular, taking this all into account, i would say anything between £5m-8m is fair game, and still a bargain as he is a £20m player if you are basing it on his quality and importance alone.
 
Pretty sure we'd be able to muster £3m from the Sky money/Bily money that didn't all get spent. Moyes wouldn't have come out publicly and said we're definitely looking to tie up Pienaar if we had no money whatsoever.

Im not sure if this will feel like a new signing or not.

Has to be said, its bad buissness all round though - form a footballing point of view im made up, but from a buisness perspective: he spends six months at Spurs and we will prob down a couple of million and prob get the wages with us we wanted in the first place.

I remember Alonso going in for a slide tackle, and Rodders just chipping the ball over him and laying it off. It's in his locker ffs
 
I haven't read all 80 odd pages so not sure if this has been said before, but does anyone think the delay might be down to Pienaar waiting to see what is happening with Bainesy and not money? I'm not so sure he'd be that keen to come if Leighton is going. Old Whiskey Nose is on record saying he will be bringing at least one more possibly two to Old Trafford before season starts.

do we take this into account when we do the prediction league. when we place a bet do we bet on the score including or not including the 1-0 advantage. i also expect every game to sat 1-0 before kick off, and every match report will remind us that we start the game 1-0 up. anything else, i will be fuming with johnny h.
 
As long as we wear the swoosh we start the game 1 0 up end of. Unless the other team also has Nike, then it starts 1 1. It's only fair.
