If we signed Dempsey, The Don and Pienaar it would be the best summer in living memory.

What are we talking about 25 mill for Permo deals - thats why i think it wont happen tbh i would be happy with one.

If Baines goes, as has been suggested, that's easily 25 mill.

£25m ?!?!?

£4m tops for Pienaar, can't see Dempsey and Donovan costing £21m !

Honestly, if we could get Pienaar in permanently and Adam Johnson on a season long loan, with only a couple of minor outs, I would be ecstatic. Throw in a free striker as a squad player and I'd windmill.

Completely agree. As for the free striker as a squad player, may I propose Markus Rosenberg? Just been released by Werder Bremen. I'd post a Youtube vid of his goals but everyone knows they mean nothing. He's a capable player.

It looked really sad in his interview. I think he realizes he made a mistake by going to spurs.
I would love him to comeback and I'm sure he would be a key player for a couple more years but I'm worried about the price. If Spurs want 3 million + then wouldn't that money be better spent on a player that has more than a few years left?

If he was 21 and playing the way he his now he'd be a £15m player.

Pienaar and Donovan make the most sense. I've seen Donovan play for Galaxy this season and he looks like he's had enough. Once you get a taste it's hard to go back. Plus they already won the league here. He's just waiting it out. I honestly think he will do anything to play next season at Goodison - it's more about that than the money. Maybe something creative through Nike (which is the answer to all the earlier kit questions).

Pienaar is ace and must be re-signed. Dempsey is a great player but he wants to cash in. Plus his chemistry playing with Donovan is not a given. I predict he will be playing for Arsenal next season for more than we should pay. Hope I'm wrong...would love to see all three of them in blue.

I'd love all of them, but think it will come down to the price. Donovan fits right in here and fills one of our weak spots (right mid) well. Dempsey would be an upgrade to Cahill at the moment, and he's an incredibly hard-working player, which is appreciated at Everton generally. Pienaar I don't think i have to say anything about, we want him back, I just hope we don't lose a bunch of money on the deal.

If we can get one of Dempsey/Donovan for 5-6mill or less I think it would be worth it.

Yeah and we got him at 26 for 2.4 million, not shabby at all. There are surely other players of Pienaar's calibre for that price tag just they're not premier league proven like Pienaar or as familiar with the club as him. I say this a massive Pienaar fan but maybe buying Pienaar back isn't the best idea especially since we're apparently now a club that lives off player sales. If we want a younger Pienaar maybe we should be looking at Thulani Serero or May Mahlangu.

If Everton had decent transfer funding I would have no reservations but we don't. :(
