Pienaar to return?

Definitely would have him back. Can't blame him for leaving, he wanted a go in the Champions League, and if the reports are true then more fool us for not offering him the contract he deserved.

We have a third of that amount, if that. Moyes will not see the Arteta money in full, which has already been admitted by Moyes himself.

Oh, and on the subject of Pienaar. No thanks. Even if he would improve us (and he would, marginally) it'd be demoralising to see a mercenary like him welcomed back at Goodison.

We need to look at new options, and I believe spending as little as £4-5m wisely can improve our squad substantially more than Pienaar would.

To be perfectly frank about things, I'm looking forward to welcoming Landon Donovan back to Everton in January for starters, who is an infinitely better player than Pienaar and a superb guy to boot.[/QUOTE]
No. Luis Suarez is a superb guy to boot. Boot him in the temple, the kidneys, the balls and the throat. But not the teeth, you're likely to lose half your foot.

And as for donovan being an infinitely better player than pienaar. No. just no

Of course we'd have him back, he was quality for us. Whether it happens or not I have no idea cos I'm about as sauced up as an empty bottle of ketchup with no sauce left in it. As all rational people know though ketchup is the king of sauces, so maybe an empty bottle of ketchup is more sauced up than those beaut-like bottles of BBQ sauce. Time wasters.

Anyway, the point is that if we can get him back we should, we'll love him and I'll follow him again on twitter. Until then, he's a money-grabbing kopite. Sorted.

No, Donovan isn't an infinitely better player than Pienaar. Not by a long shot.

...and no. Pienaar isn't anywhere close to being "miles better" than Donovan.

I thought you knew your football better than that Toxteth. That's disappointing.

I agree to disagree. They're both miles better than each other - they're very different players, role wise. In their favoured position/role - one is definitely better than the other. Donovan is a better out-and-out winger, for example, but Pienaar is better than him as a playmaker. Therefore as a winger - Donovan is miles better than Pienaar, but as a playmaker - Pienaar is miles better than Donovan.

Paradox...
Oh and alcohol, I'm a bit drunk and tired from partying.

Pretty much this, different players, Pienaar is the link up player in the team, Donovan is a finisher, whether it be an assist or a goal. Both of them would be very handy to have.
