If Pienaar leaves Spurs there will probably be a hefty loyalty payment involved as part of his contract.
Pienaar will probably not simply walk away from a lucrative contract without getting a substantial settlement.
I expect that Spurs will try to get as large a transfer fee as possible to limit their losses.
