I think that’s called confirmation bias.

Imagine living a sham that you have constructed to try and maintain some outward appearance that is not reflective of the true you. A terrible way to live.

I might just be being a bit precious here but I've always found it a bit out of order when someones response to someone coming out as gay is saying something along the lines of 'yeah, everyone already knows'... kinda gives the impression (unintentionally perhaps) that them coming out isn't a big deal when it's probably been a huge deal for them, especially if they've been pretending otherwise for multiple decades.

Can’t be easy, of course, but have to question the timing of it after the amount of criticism he has received in recent months about his treatment of ITV staff members, colleagues complaining about his behaviour, his manner of interviewing etc.

That all goes away now. At least for a bit. Handy.

When he started his career sadly this would have been something to hide.Now I can't really see why he feels the need to share,unless he just finds it cathartic.If that's the reason hope it helps him but really another Sky non-story for me.
