I don't like the man at all but that is very unfair.

I can image being young and gay was very difficult in 80/early 90's, especially if you want to have a career on TV.

Yeh back then but he’s making it out like he’s only just feeling like homosexuals are accepted in the media. They’ve been accepted for years now.

You make it sound as though it is so simple. As though he actively decided to live a lie for 27 years. I’d say it’s pretty far from selfish to do what he has done with the information we have. He’s 57 and is seemingly now just able to be honest about who he is.

It isnt that hard to paint a more sinister/contrived picture though, is it?

Is he? I haven’t read anything like that from him. If you can share a link then fine. Seems to me he took so long to come out because he couldn’t reconcile it in his head and didn’t want to cause pain for his family

Why paint a picture based on a theory? Just let them get on with it and if any facts come out then judge then. So many people that “don’t care about him” seem to have some pretty set views
