Strip him of the captaincy and give it to its rightful owner, Seamus Coleman
What a servant he has been for the club and 5 years ago was one of the best defenders in the prem. unfortunately now age has caught up with him and is now past it.
It's harsh, good servants and good fellas too,but what you've said is spot on.Sick of seeing this fella in our shirt, never mind as captain. I wouldn't mind if he had a trophy-laden career with us, but he's just a continuation of the mediocrity that is ingrained in the Kenwright/Moyes-era.
Him and Baines needs to leave ASAP. They've been here that long now that they think it is their club. In the grand scheme of the English and European game, they're two utter no-marks who have won nothing with us and failed on the international stage.
Moyes really drummed into them that mediocrity is the norm for this club and these two have applied his philosophy ever since he left.
I'd like Marco Silva to have a chance without our past lingering around.
Played there for us with Williams, when Allardyce first came in and we went on our best run of form.Holgate has not played CB in a 4 man backline at a decent level. He should definitely get a chance since he can actually move quickly but it isn't guaranteed to work. Connolly isn't a CB and throwing him in would be a disaster
cant remember if it was the third or fourth goal yesterday when jags and keane had five yards on their forward and the forward sailed past the two of them utterly embarrasing..he’s been written off so many times only to come back into form but he really seems to be struggling this pre-season. The truth is anything played behind our defence is likely to lead to a one-on-one.
