I've been shocked by the amount of people who describe that feller as one of our best modern day CBs. Honest, he's about as good as Carl Tyler IMO. Clueless with a ball at his feet, now and in his so called "pomp".

Where would you rank Jagielka in PL era CBs? Defo worse than Lescott, Distin, Stones, Dunne, Gough, Weir, Materazzi.

I’m sorry I just don’t agree with that. Jags in his ‘pomp’ as you refer to was a quality centre back. Him and Lescott was as good a paring as we’ve had since the mid 80s. His terrible knee injury of 2009 robbed him of a yard of pace, but it’s sad he’s getting the abuse from a wide section of the fanbase now (like Howard) due to the powers that be offering him a contract extension when his playing ability is so obviously in decline.

Everybody else was utter rubbish, laughing at you putting Stones in there tho, you did nothing but abuse the lad.

Materazzi was utter tosh for us, did nothing but get sent off, LOL at Dunne.
