Doesn’t “training with Burnley” mean on trial really, as in they want to see what he still has to offer before making a contract offer? They just don’t call it a trial as he’s not 16.

Maybe he just felt like it’s a proper break then? Might be hard for him to train/use the facilities here and not actually be a part of the club anymore. Kinda like still following your ex on social media.

He wasn't a member at the gym, he worked at the gym for ten years and was a loyal hard working employee

Big difference. If he wants to use the facilities then fine, it's a drop in the ocean for the club

Such a small time attitude "Oh no, we can't afford to have ex players using the equipment, think of the leccy bills!!"
