No seriously though, a "PES cycle" definitely did exist, but although I've only played a bit of it so far it looks well and truly back on form.

Although Merseyside Blue in a yellow striped home kit is just an eyesore I can't get around, so will need to add the overwrites ASAP.

To add to the above though on the offchance I was coming across as positive about a game for once... it does seem to be quite a bit overhyped though.

Again haven't played too much but it's an 8/10 so far, not "the best football game ever".

Very much so - first impressions hands on is that it's a much easier game to pick up and play than FIFA15 was.

Biggest difference is that every pass and move is what you want to do, so if it goes wrong it's either your own fault, or the opposition simply defended well.

I was never one for thinking scripting exists in FIFA (think that's just idiots being stupid basically), but I can certainly appreciate that with FIFA sometimes people think the AI screw them over. Reality, I just think the controls were a bit clunky and didn't respond like they should - playing PES16 emphasises that issue by how it has got rid of that altogether.

Bothers me this. I know you can update the kits and shiz, but how hard would it be to put Everton in a generic blue kit FFS! Arsenal play in orange too.

Being critical, the tackling is a bit off this year. Slide tackling is well overpowered and you can wipe someone out from behind and not get sent off. People will exploit it online.

My other criticism is the state of the crowd. They could and should do much better with it.
