Pep Guardiola to leave City

Be interesting to see if it was all won on a level playing field.
We saw him on a level playing field - in the Champions League with City.

Faced with the elite, his trophy return was paltry.

He was obviously the most significant manager of his generation. He changed the game. But much of his success was a result of having Messi, Iniesta, and Xavi. Without those generational players at Bayern and then City, he was a much reduced figure and certainly no "genius". Both of those clubs had brilliant players - he took over the European champions at Bayern - many of whom went on to win the World Cup. He flopped in Europe there. His City return, impressive at home with all the advantages, was poor on a more even playing field.

After last nights exit from the Champions League, the press now seem convinced he'll leave at the end of the season. But he'll leave with some record.

71.6% win percentage
6 Premier Leagues
4 League Cups
3 Community Shields
2 FA Cups
1 Champions League
1 Club World Cup

Not entirely found out then.
