Integral part of a superb team that won the league. I really can't remember any shockers from Paul Power that season. What I do remember is things like this
Loved that game

Imagine the fume today if we signed someone like that? He was awesome for us.Was horrified when we signed him, but quickly grw to love the lad! Cracker professional, was genuinely made up when he won a tilte medal with us![]()
Damn right,mate....not an unsung hero for those of us who had the pleasure to watch him. Only here for a short period but very fond memories, he was outstanding for us.

Yeah he was a doctor of something as I recall.Wasn't he a genuinely clever fella ?
Good degrees etc ?
Or am I thinking of someone completely different ?
The amount of crocks and has-beens Howard signed, he would have been sacked after one window! That is why, regardless of our opinions of individual players, we have to let the manager crack on and meld them into a team!Imagine the fume today if we signed someone like that? He was awesome for us.
Ummm I think that was spuds who won the cup with the Ricky Villa goal. One if the most enjoyable finals of my youth, apart from the soft lads from the south winning it.I was at this - Paul Power broke our hearts with 84th minute equaliser and we lost the replay 3-1. City won the Cup that year with the famous Ricky Villa goal.
