I heard through the building industry that the reason it hasn't happened is that we are still not safe from relegation and to sign up to a long term lease and then go down would be a disaster
also if we do sign a lease this means we have no intentions of leaving GP.

The only good part of that annexe deal has been that it would lessen the possibility for those owning the club to concoct another fanciful project down the line - like setting up a stadium in the Yorkshire Dales or somewhere!

Driven past before. Had they actually begun work? Half the wall has gone.

Alternatively, it impedes a Park End redevelopment.

Who knows? There's a cock-up somewhere along the line, why knock down a boundary wall now for a project that won't be ready until Summer 2012.

Probably the same reasoning that made them pull down the marquee and loose hundreds of thausands in corporate.

They stopped it 'cause to ease traffic flow they are helicopter-ing Anfield on top of Goodison so there will be a 2 decker super stadium.

FFS Vernon Sangster!!

because, as proven with earlier tasks, this board takes incompotence to a whole new level, inept is the norm in the boardroom, but thankfully, even these clueless clowns cannot hang on forever, one day, and very soon i hope, they will be gone from our club, the sooner the better for me.

Ark Royal flight deck, if you can't see that Dave then you must have cataracts, it all ties in perfectly, they are just relying on an anonymous bidder they have found in Panama getting that 'last 10 seconds e-bay bid' in to snatch it by a pound from Wetherspoons clutches.
We will all be at sea then for every game, with obvious offshore benefits.

The players will live on board, the only concern being that the defence may start shipping goals.

Pre-match a harrier will perform the 'Benfica Eagle' duties, firing Everton Mints from it's cannons, and a Lynx Helicopter is to be retained foir retrieving Hibbo/Neville shots.

Billy Butler is gonna skipper her.

I can't recall the final word on this.

Is it dead?

Essentially, yes. I wrote something for the forum, later posted on the GOT site, back in October, based on attending a fans conference at Goodison, where Elstone was in attendance and was asked point blank what was going on.

Basically, Everton applied for planning permission, but were denied because they didn't own the land that they intended to build on. The land outside the Park End stand is securitised by the banks, as part of the clubs' debt agreement. The bank would not agree to allowing the club to build on the land, because essentially the new building would be co-owned by Kitbag and Sodexo. In a nutshell, Everton were trying to sell something they didn't own to another third party.

There was no 'final word' given by the club because, unsurprisingly, they are embarrassed by the turn of events that occured, and as seems customary with the current administration, anything that doesn't portray the club in a good light is kept out of the papers and swept under the carpet. They just want people to forget anything was ever planned in the first place.

And some people wonder why fans have a go at the board...

Dya know what mate, i've told you in the past, i don't always agree, but i have respect for you opinions. Would be nice if you shown some back, instead your coming across very patronising, you can at least refer to me when you talking about me. As i said Bruce, if i want to brand it a disgrace i will.

I don't care about some meffy Olympics for cockneys, i care about Everton, and as a customer (using that word again) if i want to be unhappy about this, then i think i have the right to and at the very least i think you should respect that, rather than chastise me like your all high & mighty

I agree. I'm so sick of people always getting their back ups when someone wants to complain.

People are not going to be happy all the time. It's impossible. The only thing worse than being unhappy about something is when someone comes along and says you're not allowed to be unhappy. As they say on the ski slopes, piste off.

There's nothing wrong with Cena getting annoyed by this and wanting to vent that annoyance on an internet forum. Better he get it off his chest than let it build up inside him surely?
