I was only 9 at the time and didn't know the score until I got up for school the next morning when it was on the sports news on TV-AM and had to put up with the little redshites in my class giving me stick as we'd blown it. I was the only Blue in my class as well.
Those 10 days between blowing the league at Oxford and blowing the lead and losing in the FA Cup final were as bad as it gets in whatever they've done to us down the years. Losing the other week to them in that fashion was nothing in comparison to the horrors of '86.
Had social media been around then I think Kendall would've come in for an avalanche of criticism and his detractors of 1983 would've quickly resurfaced.
