IF he wants to move (not established by a long chalk, btw) then tough sh1t really. Let Villa and Barry's experience guide us. He gave them a good last season and left on the club's terms. How are we any different to Villa if Moyes wants to retain all his players?

If think we should keep Lescott and i know Moyes will fight tooth and nail to keep hold of him. Who knows if Lescott wants to stay or not. All i know, he has three years left on his contract but like we all know, contracts are'nt worth the ink they are written on these days. If City come in for him and offer to double his wages, i feel he would be to weak to resist the deal, but like i said, who knows. How dedicated and loyal Lescott is to Everton would only be revealed if City make an official bid for him.

How do you mean 'we're playing Dave rules'? I'm going by what's been said, you're running away with fantasy scenarios.
If a player under contract for three more seasons goes then that's down to the club for selling him. FACT.

Fair enough, it was bullshit.
Players in this day and age appear to have more power than the actual managers. If Lescott wants out, there is little Moyes could do, that really is the FACT! If Lescott did'nt get his wish to leave, then his heart would not be in it for the club and performances would not be up to standard. He would be upset with the club and that could well affect the overall team morale. Then what does Moyes do? Keep Lescott in the reserves for the remainder of his contract then see him leaving on a free? Lets just hope this is all hypothetical and Lescott remains at the club.
Nothing sinister mate, just that you wont allow wiggle room for the manager or the club to change their mind from what are quotes attributed to the player and manager.
Whats your opinion on keeping a contracted player who asks for the possibility to leave?
